With so many types of fire extinguishers available, how should we choose and use them? Here are a few suggestions:

1. Choose a fire extinguisher based on the type of fire: Different types of fires require different types of fire extinguishers. For example, for oil fires, choose dry powder or foam extinguishers; for electrical fires, choose carbon dioxide or dry powder extinguishers; for solid material fires, choose water or foam extinguishers, etc.

2. Familiarize yourself with how to use the fire extinguisher: Before using a fire extinguisher, you must familiarize yourself with how to use it. You can learn by reading the instruction manual, watching demonstration videos, or attending fire safety training.

3. Regularly inspect and maintain: Fire extinguishers are not a one-time fix; they require regular inspection and maintenance. For example, check if the pressure gauge is normal, if the nozzle is clogged, and if the agent is expired. If any problems are found, replace or repair it promptly.

4. Stay calm and act quickly: In the event of a fire, remain calm, quickly assess the size and location of the fire, and then choose the appropriate fire extinguisher to extinguish it. If the fire is too large or out of control, evacuate immediately and call the fire department.
